NHL needs to suspend officials Morton and Lambert for missing call on Tom Wilson 3/5/21
It's time for the NHL to hold officials accountable for missing major calls such as the call missed by banded officials Dean Morton and Pierre Lambert in the Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins game that involved a hit by Tom Wilson on Brandon Carlo on Friday 3/5/2021. This hit has probably given Carlo a concussion and will have him out a few games. Morton and Lambert were also the officials in Wednesday's game where only 2 mins were given to Alexander Ovechkin for intentionally spearing Trent Frederick. There are 2 banded officials for a reason and if neither can see an intentional hit that is inflicted to cause injury it's time for them to be suspended too. This has long been a problem in the NHL and it's time for the National Hockey League to start holding officials accountable for not doing their jobs and helping control the flow of the game and most importantly help insure the safety of the players. Morton has also had instances in the past of telling players to "Go F××× Themselves" or making one sided calls due to not liking certain coaches. This kind of biased has no place in professional hockey. Time for the National Hockey League to step up and do the right thing!
