dear sir, we wish to inform you that already the national highway authority has provided zero FAStag facilities to the orthopedically Challenged but the same has not been provided to the visually impaired. the persons with disabilities and equal opportunities act 2016 contemplates that all the physically challenged has to be treated equally and there shall not be any discrimination among themselves. Furthermore, the national commissioner for the disabled by his order dated 11th November 2020 had directed you to extend the facility to the vehicles owned by visually impaired, as well as the vehicles in which they are travelling. the men employed at the toles are not understanding the value of the national identity card and they simply insist that the vehicles should be modified, without even understanding the fact that visually impaired cannot drive a vehicle. therefore, it has become a just and necessary for us to write this representation, calling upon you to extend this zero FAS tag facilities to the visually impaired also with immediate effect and kindly direct the toll plaza to provide zero fastag facilities to the visually impaired with immediate effect, kindly treat the matter as urgent, thanking you.
