Microbeads are minuscule pieces of plastic that are found in face washes, toothpaste, body scrubs, abrasive cleaners and other everyday beauty products (lipstick, eyeliner, sunscreen, deodorant, nail polish).

These microbeadsplastics, hardly visible to the naked eye, flow straight from the bathroom drain into the sewer system. Wastewater treatment plants are not designed to filter them out microbeads and that is the main reason why they contribute to the Plastic Soup swirling around the world’s oceans. Sea animals absorb or eat microplasticsbeads. These microbeads are passed along the marine food chain. Since humans are ultimately at the top of this food chain, it is likely that we are also ingest them. absorbing microbeads from the food we eat. Microplasticsbeads are not biodegradable and once they enter the marine environment, they are impossible to remove.

Few people understand the difficult chemical names of all these plastics. The naming is confusing for consumers. Furthermore, the labels are often extremely difficult to read – the letters are very small or the ingredients label is under the barcode. And sometimes the products do not even have a list of ingredients. It is very hard for the average consumer to know if a product is free of microplastics.

Many State already banned use of microplastic in consumer products ,Lets join hands to demand banning all microplastics in cosmetics .
