The NFL Player Contract states that the player agrees: “To conduct himself on and off the field with appropriate recognition of the fact that the success of professional football depends largely on public respect for and approval of those associated with the game” (Paragraph 2). “ If player has engaged in personal conduct reasonably judged by the Club to adversely affect or reflect on the Club, then the Club may terminate this contract” (Paragraph 11).
We the undersigned stand with President Trump in condemning the behavior of many in the National Football League who - despite the advantages accruing to them from the freedoms secured by the sacrifice of so many - treat with contempt the flag and anthem that symbolize both that freedom and those sacrifices. With him, we recommend that the shameful example they set for the youth of this nation, and the division they promote by their incendiary actions, be met with immediate dismissal from the League. In addition, we insist that the owners of the teams in the League issue a public apology to the American people for their insult to the nation - both here and abroad - and the dishonor they have brought upon a sport we love by their decision to support the behavior of their players, as is their right and responsibility in the spirit of Paragraph 11. We covenant, therefore, not to watch, by any means, presentations of the NFL. Furthermore, we covenant not to buy goods or services provided by their top advertisers, including Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser products), Paps John's Pizza products, PepsiCo products, Geico, Ford Motor Company, Microsoft, Verizon, Primesport, and Fanduel until such time as they cease their sponsorship of the NFL in any and all media.
