This is to petition the National Communications Authority (NCA) to get PROACTIVE with the fight against Unsolicited Electronic Communication, through which Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and their value-added service (VAS) partners are looting our airtime. NCA must sanction the looters and get us our stolen moneys back.

There is widespread complaint about airtime and data vanishing from our phones, tablets, modems and routers without any explanation. The MNOs often claim the subscribers use the airtime themselves without knowing. But recently, a public education campaign by Techgh24.com and #SQUEAKGH has proved that the main cause of the problem are HIDDEN SUBSCRIPTION done by the MNOs and or their VAS partners WITHOUT THE CONSENT of subscribers.

This practice has robbed million of Ghanaians of airtime over the past twelve years, in spite of the fact that the Unsolicited Electronic Communication Code of Conduct was issued in 2014 to regulate how these things should be done. It is time for the NCA to crack the whip and sanction the perpetrators by law and also get us some of our stolen moneys back via compensation.
