NCA should Force MTN and Vodafone to reduce Broadband Prices.

For far too long now, phone and broadband data bundles has cost a devastating amount of money.

Broadband is the cheapest form of internet in the world but not here in Ghana. The average broadband cost in other parts of the world is $40/mo for 1 TB–Unlimited data with speeds ranging from 15–2000 Mbps.

Meanwhile in Ghana, we are paying $53 for 250GB from Vodafone and $55 for 225GB from MTN. The most surprising of them all is MTN increasing the price of their Turbonet device from ₵300 ($56) to ₵500 ($93).

How can business thrive when the cheapest form of internet in the world has become so expensive.

These phone companies don't seem to care about us so much as they care about money, which is why I'm petitioning our National Communication Authority to intervene and make all phone companies lower their current price for internet data.

I am appealing to the National Communications Authority to do something about these ridiculous prices from the phone companies.

Be part of the movement of making broadband internet more affordable for the Ghanaian public.
