NCCAOM -- make the acupuncture profession more ethical

My debt is more than a home...due to consolidated interest and an interest rate that can never be refinanced or lowered. I tried to get a job when I graduated, competing with practitioners with 10 years experience who won the jobs. I had to start my own business, the cost of start up takes money away from paying back my debt, which is now almost $50,000.00 more than I actually borrowed, 2 years post graduation. Licensing fees, malpractice insurance, CEUs all cut into my income. Yet, I see this medicine work and I feel privileged to offer it. Income does not however, meet the reality of the financial burden of becoming an acupuncturist in my experience.
