According to the Nigeria's Independent Electoral Commision,the population group 18-35 makes up 54.5% of the registered voters but form less than 18.5% of party candidates at the general elections and even less than 10% of the elected officers.It is upon this background that the National Youths and students assembly wishes to lead the advocacy for a 40% affirmative action for youths inclusiveness in the governance structure at all levels in Nigeria.The Agenda 40:40 of the National Youths and Students Assembly(NYSA) which is ably led by Hon.Ayodele Israel Elegbeleye,MRSN,FIMC,CMC demands for 40% affirmative action at all levels for youths who are 40years of age and below.This is a wake up call to other youths advocacy groups,corporate bodies,individuals and government institutions in Nigeria to lend their voice and sign this petition.
