Bobby Allison is given credit for 84 career victories, tied with Darrell Waltrip for 4th all-time. He actually won 85 career races, but NASCAR does not recognize Allison's win on August 6, 1971 at Bowman Gray Stadium. NASCAR said the win doesn't count because Allison was driving a Ford Mustang, which was considered a Grand American car, not a Grand National car. However, Tiny Lund was awarded two wins with the same situation, in a Camaro, later in 1971. Therefore, if Mr. Lund is credited with two wins using a Grand American car, so should Bobby Allison.
