Sabeshan Iyer started this petition to Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India

India is a proud and free nation which has always had an outsized influence on the rest of the world since time immemorial. The date 15th August 1947 is etched into the hearts of every Indian as that's the date our beloved motherland broke apart the shackles of colonialism.

Due to the unfortunate mindset of naive pacifism and globalism of the early central governments, India has suffered many missteps since independence, such as the loss of Gilgit-Baltistan, the treachery of the 1962 China war, the one-sided repatriation of 93,000 Pakistani war criminals in 1971 and many such leading up to the early 1990s. One such blunder was joining the Commonwealth organization.

Bluntly put, it is nothing but an Old Slaves' Club. The members are all supposed to be nostalgic and buddy-buddy with the erstwhile evil colonizer Britain. India has no use for such a pathetic organization, especially since we have direct relations with our former colonizer Britain which are more advantageous than being part of the C.

Every extra second India remains a member of this godawful organization is a stain on our self-respect and risks us not being taken seriously by the comity of great nations.

It is our sincere and humble request to Shri Narendra Modi, our honourable Prime Minister to kindly consider initiating proceedings to exit this useless and disrespectful organization. India does not need the Commonwealth, rather the Commonwealth craves India. Let us not give Britain the satisfaction of "owning" India as a member of the Commonwealth.

Please sign this petition and circulate it far and wide among fellow patriotic Indians.

JAI HIND!
