Neel Mon started this petition to Narendra Modi (Prime Minister Of India) and

It's high time caste reservations ended in India. If we truly wish to be a nation where people are equal, discrimination on constitutional level has to stop. Caste reservation is being used in education, jobs and Promotion in jobs  regardless of whether the candidate is capable or deserving of it. For example, a student who has barely managed to pass in 12th with 35% manages to get a seat in top colleges for MBBS. Normally, such a candidate would never be considered for an admission due to lack of proper marks, but he/she is given admission solely on the basis of caste, is this not unfair to other candidates who scored far better than him? Is this not against the very idea of equality? Such a candidate who is obviously not intelligent to be a proper doctor again barely manages to pass the examination, would you trust such a doctor to treat your illness? this system of caste reservation is simply producing sub-standard level of professionals. I'm not against any caste, but i'm against unfair practice of the law. Even if we follow caste reservation, there should be checks and balances in place, competence of the candidate should be at par with other people. A person should not be given admission, job or job promotion solely based on his/her caste.

Moreover, caste reservation system has become a vote bank for politicians. the Politicians ask for support from various caste groups to get elected with a promise that they will never change the reservation system.

There was a time when this reservation system was necessary for social upliftment of various groups. but now the law is just being abused by politicians and a select group of people. It's almost like a reverse caste system now. Which was never the intention.

Let's end all kind of reservation and end this cycle of discrimination in India.
