India deserves a better Chief Minister for Uttar Pardesh, not Y Adityanath

This petition had 76 supporters

The people of India had given a clear mandate to BJP in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and 2017 Uttar Pardesh State Assembly elections. The people of Uttar Pardesh were a driving force behind both these victories. Many people speculated the prime reason behind the mandate being the development agenda proposed by the party. Even amidst suspicions of communal politics and allegations for the same by opposition and people at large, the voters of Uttar Pardesh entrusted BJP to deliver clean politics promised by PM Modi. The amount of trust in the party by the people of Uttar Pardesh can further be highlighted by the fact that the mandate for BJP came without even an announcement of Chief Minister candidate by BJP.

Having won a successful mandate, now it is entirely in the power of BJP leadership to choose a Chief Minister for Uttar Pardesh. The choice of the Chief Minister (Y Adityanath), being the most communal face of BJP in Uttar Pardesh, have brought shocks to not just the opposition but the devoted voters as well. Its a betrayal of the promise of development over the allegations of communal politics. People of Uttar Pardesh deserve better for their heavy support for BJP in both the Lok Sabha and Uttar Pardesh State Assembly elections.

So I humbly request all of you to kindly support the petition to request the BJP leadership for a better Chief Minister of Uttar Pardesh. Y Adityanath is clearly the most communal face of BJP in UP, and elevating him to the position of Chief Minister will hamper the development goals with which BJP came to power both at center and in Uttar Pardesh.
