We have seen a growing number of people in our community experiencing homelessness. There is a great concern of health risks for those who have no where to go in from the cold frostbite hypothermia and even death. I've seen some folks sleeping in the bank entrances and someone else took shelter under a bench wrapped in a carpet. Not everyone qualifies for the motel program.  The warming centre would also be able to help the most vunderable with directions to services that are available for them.  These folks need a safe warm place to go as we ride out the covid-19 pandemic.
