Protect our children's educational future and reverse the Education budget cuts in N.I.

On 15 March 2017, Mr Gary Fair, Department of Education, wrote to schools and provided them an update on budgets for next year 2017 - 18, indicating that the Primary Schools Budget would be reduced. Following this the Secretary of State announced a further 2.5% reduction in the education budget on top of previous years cuts. Our Primary Schools are now in danger. They are left making tough choices and to make these cuts will result in reductions in staff and significant increases in class sizes. This will have an extremely negative impact on the standards of education our children and grandchildren receive. Our schools have already had to make serious and extreme cuts to the services they provide and further cuts will leave us with an inadequate and broken system condemning future generations to a standard of education not seen in this country for many years. We are definitely being driven backwards and not progressing. Please sign the petition, contact your MLA, write to your MP, the Secretary of State and the Finance Director of the Department of Education to express your concern and desire for this to be reversed.
