For public health it is essential that no one in need should delay getting TESTED and TREATED as necessary for COVID-19 infection. Even if the tests themselves are carried out for free, patients going to clinics and ERs and other health care providers risk incurring all sorts of other charges. And if someone tests positive, it is not clear that all the treatment will be free.

It is dangerous to the public if concern about costs delays any person from seeking detection and treatment.

THEREFORE: A "MEDICARE FOR ALL" PROGRAM NEEDS TO BE PUT IN PLACE ON A TEMPORARY BASIS, FOR THE DURATION OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND LIMITED TO COVERING ONLY BUT ALL EXPENSES PERTAINING TO THE TESTING AND TREATMENT OF COVID-19.

The program, if passed and instituted, would mean that anyone could walk into any place of treatment (call in advance of course!) and all parties would be assured that the providers would get paid and the patient would pay NOTHING.

This economic cost of just the onset of this health crisis vastly exceeds the cost of a program such as this. Emergency, Temporary, Limited (to Covid-19) Medicare: it's the smart move, the right move, the just move, and it is URGENT.
