We are small business owners with stores in San Francisco and Berkeley. What we need more than anything is a Freeze on our rent. We’re behind on rent and have asked our landlords to work with us. They want to add on to our base rent the amount we’re behind which increases our rent. This is a set up for failure. We’re not asking for free rent. We just want our rent to be put on hold for now and our lease extended.

Small businesses are the heart of the American dream and without them, we as a nation will be an empty, soulless box the founding fathers wouldn't recognize.

My family’s business as a wine and cider brand based out of SF is directly effected by restaurant and bar closures.

People are hurting while billionaires added $900B to their take this year. The US can afford to pay its people.

I am signing because I work in food service, and am worried my employees will have to work multiple exposure-heavy jobs just to make ends meet - as well as use public transportation multiple times a day.

I'm signing this petition because I agree with Yuka Loroi that "we need longer-term funding that is not a loan, just for all of us to survive. All of us, including the immigrant and formerly incarcerated community, need to be paid adequately to stay home and to close or minimize our business operations, going back to March 2020 retroactively for those who have not received any relief."
