Why this petition matters

Started by A’OLE PVT

We want to STOP PVT from building a new landfill in our neighborhood.

We want PVT to find another location.

The health and safety of the people of Nanakuli should be first priority. We have Kupuna (elders), Keiki (children), and other Ohana (family) that are sick directly related to landfill pollution, dust, debris, asbestos, and other harmful chemicals. This pollution is flowing into Hale (homes) and into the air. After already having the existing landfill here in Nanakuli for ~35 years the Kanaka Maoli (people) and the Aina (land) is getting affected. Having hundreds of huge dump trucks & heavy duty machinery coming down Farrington Hwy & into our residential neighborhoods daily has caused damage.

Please JOIN US in signing this petition to help STOP PVT from building in our Nanakuli neighborhood.

We need Kokua (help) from our elected officials that represent the Waianae Coast as well as Nanakuli Board Members. Most importantly WE NEED YOUR KOKUA (SUPPORT)

ABOUT PVT:

PVT Land Company Limited is a privately owned company. They want to CARVE out ~135 Acres of land that surrounds a residential neighborhood in a small beach side community.

Here are some key points as to why they are bad in our neighborhood.

- ACM = ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIALS are ALLOWED but ONLY if wrapped in 6mm double wrapped PLASTIC! PLASTIC?! PLASTIC?!

-PLASTIC & ASBESTOS ARE NOT WANTED IN OUR AINA (LAND) OR IN OUR AIR.

- Currently have 400 MILLION cubic yards of C&D Debris = Construction & Demolition Materials which may also contain Asbestos, Lead, and many other harmful chemicals.

All of the above points are on PVT Website...PVTLAND.COM

Please email us if you would like more information or to discuss.
