The Removal / Resignation of Mayor Leonard Krog from office

Mayor Leonard Krog has become very ignorant towards Nanaimo's homeless addicts and Mentally Ill.
The Downtown Nanaimo Business Community has seen a huge increase of:
Theft from Retail Stores Assaults of Security Guards and Staff Aggressive Panhandling Deliberately set arson fires Property damage/Vandalism
The invasion of Homeless Addicts and Mentally Ill groups of the downtown properties, both vacant or empty, have decreased the intent to invest, buy, lease, or rent into downtown properties. Many properties remain empty, and can be hazardous to neighboring businesses. Not to forget the problems of having potential Standoffs or Arson started Fires on these empty properties can also cause severe consequences.
People are simply afraid or are completely avoiding the downtown area to conduct business or other commerce. Many businesses have given up and closed down or have reduced staff do to the lack of business
He continues to pass the accountability and liability on to the government. His hands are tied, its not his jurisdiction.
Just a reminder to our mayor... you do have the power to make changes.
Why are you not meeting with Sheila Malcolmson, John Horgan, Justin Trudeau for requesting funds and support to establish rehab and treatment facilities, Proper assisted living projects that can treat and rehabilitate the homeless population that are addicts and mentally ill.
Leonard Krog has turned down so many opportunities, he has obviously given up on all of us! Its time to relieve him from his duty as nanaimos mayor.
Some of these homeless addicts and mentally ill need to be receiving treatment and rehab regardless if they do not want the support or opportunity to become clean.Obviously when ones decision making is impaired or compromised, something must be done. Choose Life Over Death, its that easy! If one person in Victoria BC with mental illness and or addiction, can be issued a health warrant for treatment so can these homeless.
Nanaimo needs to become a leader, not a follower, when it comes to treatment and rehab for the homeless.
By petitioning for The Removal & Resignation of Mayor Leonard Krog, Nanaimo can recover from the loss of business, failed social benefit opportunities and Community / Neighborhood trust.
