Why this petition matters

Alexander Hamilton might just be the most important person in the history of mankind as we know it and especially one of the most important significant persons in the history of the United States. He is absolutley worthy of an Air Craft Carrier named after him.
Anyone who reads this book will probably agree.

"The American Revolution and its aftermath coincided with two great transformations in the late eighteenth century. In the political sphere, there had been a repudiation of royal rule, fired by a new respect for individual freedom, majority rule, and limited government. If Hamilton made distinguished contributions in this sphere, so did Franklin, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison. In contrast, when it came to the parallel economic upheavals of the period—the industrial revolution, the expansion of global trade, the growth of banks and stock exchanges—Hamilton was an American prophet without peer. No other founding father straddled both of these revolutions—only Franklin even came close—and therein lay Hamilton’s novelty and greatness. He was the clear-eyed apostle of America’s economic future, setting forth a vision that many found enthralling, others unsettling, but that would ultimately prevail. He stood squarely on the modern side of a historical divide that seemed to separate him from other founders. Small wonder he aroused such fear and confusion."
His tremendous efforts in the writing and ratification of our constitution and then his tireless often contended work as our nations first Treasury Secretary to establish, create, and administer our nations governmental financial system directly led to the great success of our great nation.
His tremendous efforts to ensure a strong federal government and military probably the main reason we were strong enough to win the last two World Wars saving the world from living under a fascist government and millions from genocide at the hands of the Nazis.
He would probably have become a President if he was not killed in a duel defending his honor when he was only 49 years old. Washington lived to be 67, Jefferson 83, John Adams 90!
NOT ONE CURRENT NAVY SHIP- of any type - IS NAMED AFTER HIM!!!! This is a disgrace, terrible injustice, and lack of appreciation and HONOR for who might just be one if the most important person in the history of the United States. Just being on the $10 bill is not enough.
He is worthy of his name forever enduring on one of our Aircraft Carriers.
