COVID-19 is at a strong rate and there are no clear guidelines on how they will keep their Student Athletes Safe. There are athletes feeling unsafe by playing this season with this virus going around. If the season is not cancelled and if some athletes do not feel safe this season there should be a opt out rule that won’t affected an athletes’ eligibility or their  scholarships. Athletes want to play this season, but if they are not feeling safe they should be given the rights to control what they do this season with no penalties. Myself and other student athletes of the NAIA believe that the officials of the NAIA should look into what Division I through Juco officials are doing the make sure the safety of their Student Athletes comes first. NCAA student athletes are opting out because of their safety, and Juco has even talked about moving their season to the spring. Our health comes first always, and for some students athletes have children that they have to see on a every day schedule. Itwould not be fair to punish a student athlete for thinking about the health of not only themselves, but for their families.
