Bring Sony GEM & Sony ONE to India, at least on Sony LIV

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!

On behalf of Japanese and Korean entertainment fans in India, we would earnestly request you to please add the live stream (OTT) of the English feed (having English subtitles) of the Singapore based channels - Sony GEM TV Asia and Sony ONE TV Asia to the streaming app-cum-website Sony LIV based in India.

* While Sony ONE TV Asia broadcasts Korean entertainment, Sony GEM TV Asia broadcasts Japanese entertainment, with English subs. Both channels are based in Singapore and broadcasted in many Asian nations.

* The popularity of east Asian entertainment is growing in India but is under-estimated. Due to lack of legal sources in India, people have to resort to illegal websites.

* Sony LIV has already launched Animax Asia which is streamed directly from Singapore. So, adding it's sister channels Sony One and Sony Gem too shouldn't be a problem. Sony is well within its rights and abilities to add One and Gem to LIV.

* Indian channels like Sony Entertainment Television India, Sony MAX and Sony SAB are already available in Singapore. They are also available for live streaming on SingTel Go app. So it's only fair to allow Indians to watch Sony GEM and Sony ONE.

* Singapore has a population of only 5.6 million whereas India has 1.3 billion. The number of fans of Asian entertainment in India today is sure to outnumber the number of fans in Singapore.

* Sony GEM and Sony ONE are also available in a country like Cambodia that has a much lower GDP, HDI and Per Capita Income than India. India has a much more profitable and capable market than Cambodia.

We request Sony LIV to please purchase the digital rights for GEM and ONE like you did for Animax last year.
Sony Gem obtains content from Nippon TV and Sony One obtains from SBS. So there are not much parties involved either, unlike Animax that airs content from different studios. It should not be difficult to obtain digital broadcasting rights of Gem and One.

Sony LIV is Sony's own app, so there's no 3rd party fees either.

We sincerely request you to kindly add Sony Gem and Sony One to Sony LIV soon.
