I was a Taylor Highschool cheerleader for my whole freshman year, and ended up quitting my sophomore year because of my coach Lisa Gardner. She called me a “beaner” because i am Mexican and said it was okay for her to call me that because the other coach was “half mexican.” Then at cheer camp me and my friend Angelina were treated unfairly by her. We were called disgusting names because our room was “dirty” (which all that was left was snacks organized on the dresser because we couldn’t fit them in our bags or the garbage) and we were called “dirty slobs” and she told us “that sh*t isn’t cute”. Then at camp I had hit my head so hard to the point my nose was bleeding (I was a flyer) and Lisa Gardner yelled at me and told me I was “fine”, so I personally went to call my mother, she started following me and she told me “If you are on the phone with your mom it’s going to be a problem” So I had to personally run to the nurses unit and hide in the bathroom for 15 minutes so i could call my mother in peace. Then when I finally came out, she told me I was “Letting my team down.”
