Hi, my name is Nicholas. I go to Success Academy, Bed Stuy Middle School. I'm concerned with the amount of homework my grade gets over our holiday breaks. We're supposed to have a real break from school related activity, not any extra "at home school week." In order for me to actually enjoy my break, I play over the week and save everything until the 2 or 3 days before school begins and that's not fair. Not a single soul in my grade wants take a day per week to do homework. And on top of that, I see most of my friends complaining that we have too much homework. On one, 5 day weekend, we got more homework than we did during this Thanksgiving break!!! It is unhealthy for us because going into a new semester, already exhausted is going to overwhelm us and make our effort less than it should be. It is outrageous that we have to do homework and I want to make a change. Sign my petition if you don't want any homework on breaks!
