The story is that Jeff Bezos bought the rights to Christmas in order to move Christmas so that he can celebrate it at home instead of in quarantine.

Bezos unfortunately has to spend December in quarantine due to recent travel (coming back from vacation) so he's decided to move Christmas to November 24th in order to spend it at home before he goes on vacation.
