Muslims Against Randomised Selection for Hajj in the West

Muslims Against Randomised Selection for Hajj in the West
Why this petition matters
Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem
Just weeks before the annual Hajj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia has introduced new rules which mean prospective travellers from western countries must now ‘register their interest’ to Mecca through a government website, rather than via travel agencies.
Saudi Arabia's Hajj Ministry confirmed on Monday that pilgrims from "Europe, America and Australia" would need to apply via its Motawif website and said pilgrims would find out if they had gained a place via an "automated lottery" or draw.
The Saudi Regime very controversially is taking away the rights of millions of Muslims to be able to make the decision to ‘definitely’ perform Hajj, instead placing them into a lottery draw to be randomly selected. This will affect hundreds if not thousands of Hajj Travel Agents, their livelihoods and of course millions of Muslims from completing a vital part of their religion but also the economic contributions in the western countries concerned that Muslims call home.
Muslims need to unite against this disgraceful decision and fight back against the Saudi Regime who have taken Islam hostage as their own and continue to disregard the voices and needs of millions of Muslims globally.
Please share and promote this before lack of action becomes regrettable, as if it is left unchallenged, this move will have a dire impact for years to come.
Insha’Allah let’s gather enough signatures to gain the attention of Parliament so that this can be raised on an International level for all Muslims in the UK.
