The team mascot is offensive to Native peoples. Is ir so hard to change to be respectful? No!

ALL students, Native and non-Native, should never have to attend a school represented by racist, colonialist imagery. and then wonder about the integrity of school leadership.

I believe it is important to honor and respect the history and legacy of the Nipmuc peoples who settled this area originally. Use of the "Nipmuc Warrier" as a school mascot is disrespectful, offensive, and racist.

Listen to the Nipmuc Nation and stop using their people as a mascot! It's disrespectful and racist.

5 years ago the tribal council released a statement against Native mascots. It's time for a new mascot!

2001 graduate, state champ, proud athletic alumni. I treasure my memories of high school athletics...would those memories be any different with a different name and mascot? Absolutely not. It’s time!
