Say NO to KIPP Charter School's $230M Revenue Bond Request!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
Throughout the past 12 months Ward 7 residents have spoken out against all attempts by KIPP DC to open additional schools in Ward 7.
Residents of the communities surrounding both the Fletcher Johnson site and the Winston Elementary School Campus have gone on record in full opposition of the expansion of KIPP schools in DC. In addition, education advocates have requested a moratorium on the approval of any additional charters in Ward 7 until there is a comprehensive education plan and thorough assessment of current public charter school outcomes.
With that said, we are asking Mayor Muriel Bowser and Ward 7 Councilmember Vincent Gray to SAY NO to KIPP’s request for a $230M Revenue Bond for expansion. KIPP schools are not for Ward 7 and our children are not for sale!
Instead of investing in the growth and monetization of charter schools, our elected officials should be using our tax dollars to explore new ways to improve our public school system.
SAY NO TO KIPP!
