We as the SE 6 community feel that we are being used to run out the smart meter that is supposed to bring more revenue to Emfuleni but we are already a paying area. We believe these meters must be used to target your lower rate payers areas so that more revenue can be generated.

We were also not informed about what was going on and feel we are being fed lies as we get to much contradicting information. We also believe that money can be used in much better ways in our area like infrastructure upgrades and service delivery. 

We do not want any new meters up until our bills are fix and billing issues are attended to. Street lights must be fixed and other electrical issues should be attended too before new meters will be considered. 

We need an explanation on the costing to the municipality and also to the consumers. 

We would like to convene a meeting with the municipal manager on 10 March at 6pm at Suncrest High School.
