Mumbai, city of dreams creates wealth for India. Each of us living in this city contributes to this cause everyday. Due to lack of maintenance we are rewarded with potholes. I reached out to some related & powerful people including corporators and experienced consistent inertia. Most of them play blame games as to why we don't have a solution to create a long lasting smooth, pothole free roads.

While in search for solutions, I met Dadarao Bilhore. He lost his son due to a pothole accident, BMC didn't hear his plea to take any action. So now he travels around Mumbai to fill the potholes in memory of his son and avoid any such accidents. Gangadhar Tilak in Hyderabad lost his son as well and is now doing a similar job as Dadarao. Pothole Raja is a foundation at Banglore who is performing a similar task. Pothole warriors in Mumbai are another example of citizens taking up initiative to fill the potholes by themselves. People have to get on field if the work is not done by the authorities.

As citizens we deserve smooth, bumpless roads, with lesser accidents, and reduce our health breakdowns. This is it and it ends this rainy season. As I said it is time to break this inertia, I invite you to join me by signing this petition to the Maharashtra CM, BMC, PWD Thane, Thane municipal commissioner and Road minister. Please come up and take leadership in moving an administration that has not moved in ages. As suggested by the corporators themselves, once couple of thousands of us come together, it'll motivate the administration in charge to take immediate actions. Institutions like IIT Mumbai, TATA, L&T and Reliance will be of great help in providing their expertises. No cribbing, no whining, we want to get what we deserve as tax payers and true citizens of our Mumbai and Thane district.
