Kim Backos started this petition to Multichoice and

MultiChoice is removing the long-running channels of History (channel 186), Crime+Investigation network (channels 170 and 171) and Lifetime (channel 131) from DStv's channel bouquet after contract renewal negotiations between the pay-TV operator and A+E Networks broke down.

A+E Networks UK says that DStv plans to take these offerings away from subscribers although it tried very hard to reach a new channel carriage agreement and is still willing to work with MultiChoice to keep their content on the air for DStv subscribers in South Africa and across the African continent.

The offerings will be removed at the end of October 2019. DStv subscribers will have to bear the brunt of MultiChoice's decision when they are no longer able to watch shows ranging from Little Women and true-crime documentaries including Homicide Hunter to Curse of Oak Island, The First 48, as well as Lifetime movies and other specials like Surviving R Kelly. - article by news24.co.za (credit Thinus Ferreira)

The offerings will be removed without any indication of the new channels that will replace them, and subscribers will continue paying what they have been, despite the channels being removed.

It’s time DStv started listening to its subscribers!
