On Friday at 12:09 am I activated the MTN 4.5GB plan. Note that the plan comes with a 4GB YouTube night plan. I only used YouTube to watch the all-night service and went to bed before 6 am. To my surprise, I woke up to a low data prompt.

I immediately sent MTN on twitter a message saying that my data had vanished and they sent me a message saying that I should send my phone number. I did and they responded that they could not access their systems at the time. I checked after over 12 hours and the agents responded that I was billed appropriately for browsing. 

The YouTube plan which should have been depleted was reduced from 4GB to 3.75GB which is impossible considering the number of hours I watched YouTube. There is an allowance for night YouTube usage from 11 pm to 6 am, that is what should have been deducted and not the main data.

Many Nigerians have complained about this same issue while MTN continues to declare massive revenue growth and is deafened to the cries of their subscribers.
