Manheim Township High School recently announced their plan to split our commencement ceremony into three groups for the seniors to sign up in. This is frustrating to many seniors who have been wishing for a graduation in which we can all be together. This is also stressful for students who may have multiple friend groups, and it perpetuates the idea of “cliques” where the “cool kids” are graduating in one group and other kids are left to the other groups. The goal of this petition is for administration to hear our voices and understand we as a student body are prioritizing a graduation in which we can all be together since that is not an opportunity we have had this year. This could be accomplished with an outdoor graduation ceremony in the high school stadium with limited spectators or an indoor ceremony with no spectators (live stream would be used for parents and family to see the event)
