At a district meeting before the 2021-2022 school year started, Mt. Pleasant Public Schools promised that schools in the district would have an optional mask policy for the 2021-2022 school year. Which gave all students the option to wear a mask if they so choose.

This was policy was later abandoned on September 8th 2021 when there was a new policy brought forth which stated that ALL students (vaccinated or not) were required to wear a mask. This has caused many students of the high school to be very disappointed as they were lied to by the district.

So to PEACEFULLY protest against this matter on September 24th 2021 students that sign this petition will NOT wear a mask to school to show teachers and other staff that make aren't need to learn in this Coronavirus infested world.
