If you have not already heard, MSU will be facing a housing shortage next year meaning students will likely be placed 3 to a dorm. This will effect a majority of students, but transfers will face this issue at a disproportional rate as they will be assigned housing last. With MSU having the luxury of a hotel on campus, why is this solution not being considered? Instead students will be crammed in an already too small of a room, creating extremely uncomfortable living conditions. Now I understand this is not the end of the world, but as a parent I want my child to be comfortable and have a sufficient space. With 3 to a room that just doesn’t seem possible. Please MSU, consider utilizing the hotel or other spaces. This is something many colleges who face similar issues do. If you are reading this thank you, and if this is not something that effects you or your child please picture yourself needing to share a room meant for 2 with 3 people in it. MSU students deserve better.
