Petitioning MSNBC

Be more inclusive to disabled guests

On July 21, 2013 on her show Melissa Harris Perry indicated in her closing segment that she could never have a physically disabled guest on her show because her stage is elevated. Which means all the other shows on MSNBC are incapable of having a physically disabled person on their set. The MSNBC set is not ADA compliant. The channels boilerplate includes the phrase "forward", how can this be in the boilerplate when their set can not accommodate disabled guests.

We the undersigned ask that MSNBC hold true to their message of being "forward" and install a ramp on their set so that disabled guests can have an actual seat at the table.

Letter to
We are urging you to be more inclusive to disabled guests and make your sets ADA compliant so that people with disabilities can come on your shows and have a seat at the table. It is crucial that disabled guests are included in the important conversations on each of your shows, and that starts with building a ramp or a lift for guests who are in wheelchairs.
