The student body's voice has been silenced for far too long. Our voices have fallen upon deaf ears. It is time that we have a say in decisions made about our education. Our administration has done a great job, however they never heard how these decisions affect the student body directly. It is time that we have a say in the decisions that affect us. It is time that our needs are heard directly instead of assuming how we will react. This is why we propose, The Collective.

The Collective Student Government will finally have a share of the power. Students will be elected by their grades to serve on a council and then delegates will be chosen. These delegates will have bi-weekly meetings with the department heads to discuss the needs of the student body. These discussions can include but are not limited to homework, schedule changes, and workload.

The Collective will finally give a chance for students to discuss directly with those in power the changes we want to see in the school. By electing a set of students to serve on the council, these members will choose the best candidates as delegates to represent the wants of the students. A true democracy will unfold in South High School for the very first time. SIGN NOW!
