Mrs. Zoll Dolvin Principal: Please reverse her decision on removing our children's teacher
This petition made change with 52 supporters!
As you can see from the email string below, Mrs. Zoll plans on removing a great teacher from our class and trading her with another teacher. I have just been informed that this other teacher is moving due to issues in her current class. My child is in his last year, has special needs and love's his current teachers.
Please join me in urging the administration not to make a teacher change this late in the school year. It's disruptive - and of NO benefit to the kids in our class. If you know anyone on the Board of Ed, please feel free to share this information to see if they can influence this decision.

Subject: transferring to another class?
Mrs. Zoll / Mrs. Webb,
As I was volunteering at the book fair, another mother from my son's 5th grade class told me that ( teachers name removed) may be moved out of my son's class. If this were true, it would have negative implications for my son, as well as for all the students in the class.
As you may be aware, my child's teacher was pulled from his class once before - during 3rd grade. My son was devastated, as he developed a strong bond with her. The only way I was able to console him was to tell him that there was always a chance he would have her again. Obviously, should this happen again, all hope would be lost.
As a special needs child, my son needs teacher consistency, and to do this more than 2 months into the school year would be detrimental to his learning.
I understand that there is just so much within your control, but if you can influence this decision, I would appreciate it. If you believe addressing the Board of Education, and/or investing in a parent advocate, and/or rallying the parents within the class to help, please let me know, as I will do all I can.

I know that change is always hard and there seems to be constant change these days. I had to make the teacher change based on several reasons, but it is needed unfortunately. You will be getting another Dolvin teacher that is also great. ( teacher's name removed ) has lots of great experience and has been an inclusion teacher in multiple grade levels including 5th grade. Sam’s general ed teachers will remain the same and I can assure you that there will be no change in the level of service he receives.
