The last two years have had an extreme impact on all families. 

The nation is slowly and carefully bringing life back to a new normal and considering how to balance risk vs moving away from an unsustainable level of caution.

 
For months now, events have resumed on a large scale; precautions and measures have been put in place to ensure maximum safety for anyone that chooses to attend such events.

The decision to not proceed with a live nativity play at Overton School 2021 was given to the parents and carers of the children with minimal explanation and only citing the ‘safety of staff and families’. 

Why is the nativity play deemed risky enough to not allow the live performance when the appropriate precautions have allowed and continue to allow other events at all scales to happen throughout the nation?

This petition is an opportunity for anyone that so wishes to request the school reconsiders the decision and to perform the KS1 nativity play to a live audience.
