Freedom of expression at Telford Park School

In October/November I dyed my hair a dark (nearly brown) colour. For the first 4-5 months it was okay and then all of a sudden it's an 'inappropriate' colour. I was told to re-dye it a natural colour and if not I would get an isolation. I felt incredibly offended seen as I was only showing who I am. This also had an impact on my family and some friends. My parents think that the headteacher was acting inappropriately by not letting me express my self by simply using dye. My friends have always liked it and are not happy that it 'has' to go. Other students also have their hair dyed (some have even used the same dye) and have not been given the same treatment as me and have agreed that it's not fair. Many of the teachers have dyed their hair unnatural colours yet are told it's okay. As long as it is not garish or anti-establishment, self expression isn't wrong or inappropriate it's completely normal and humane. Please sign this petition in order to help me spread the word about Mrs Rigby's attitude towards self expression and other pupils. Thanks.
