Forensics is Science and Should Count as Science

As Round Rock High School students we strive for greatness. To achieve greatness you have to stand up for what you believe in, what you feel is right.
We are petitioning for the opportunity to have the new forensic science class be presented as a science credit. Forensic Science bridges the gap of multiple science courses and is even multidisciplinary as it has implications for case law. Based upon the amount of knowledge and in-depth research Forensic Science requires, we believe that it should be recognized by our campus and school board as a science credit.
As proud Round Rock Dragons we feel that this request is in line with our campus mission to create and maintain diverse opportunities; and develop a strong foundation for future academic achievement and success for all students.
If Forensic Science is presented as a science major on the collegiate level, then why not on the secondary level as well?
At Round Rock High School, we ignite passion in all Dragons to soar over boundaries, seize opportunities, and embody the legacy of our Dragon Nation. Dragons Fly Together!
Let’s fly together over this boundary and ensure our success as students by offering Forensic Science as an actual science credit. Thank you.
