You have probably seen David Klimasmiths petition to make our schools Carbon-Net Zero if you haven't sign it here  https://chng.it/F75NYMzM8F but I think our school should be environmentally healthy as well so another thing we could do to stop polluting and having our lunch trays end up in land fills or in the ocean (teamseas) is to have compostable lunch trays that will break down over time instead of taking up space and letting out greenhouse gas. As the organic mass in landfills decompose methane gas is released. Methane is 84 times more effective at absorbing the sun's heat than carbon dioxide, making it one of the most potent greenhouse gases and a huge contributor to climate change. Another thing is that the lunch trays we are using right now take at least 500 years to decompose.
