I believe that whilst the 4 houses of auburn high school all deserve there place as houses I believe there was another just as if not more influential Australian in the late Steve "croc hunter" Irwin. Steve Irwin served as a pioneer when it came to looking after our environment and wildlife, and because of his outgoing and passionate personality his love for our environment and animals was infectious, people from all around idealised this man as such a campaigner for change in the way people treated the environment. Irwin was successful in his career seeing his small zoo grow into what it is today and his legacy and passion for the environment and animals is still being strongly advocated to the present day today, he's a large reason I am following the path I am and he has influenced my goals in life because of the amazing things that he did. to finish I would just like to say it seems appropriate that auburn adopts a house that reflects the environment because of how important it is amongst our generation and the push for change in terms of a healthier more sustainable future, and with the school constantly growing in numbers Irwin house will be full of eager students full of house spirit.
