This petition is regarding the field on school road, Stoke Fleming TQ6 0PR
The field is now sold and awaiting planing permission to build residential homes for ages over 55 years.
This would cause road traffic incidents and cause congestion and unnecessary air pollution especially during term times for the local primary school direct to the field and safety of the younger children at the school and the children currently living in this area also during the school holiday period. It would also cause disruption to the current residents living in Stoke Fleming especially on school road, again unnecessary air pollution, reduction of natural sun light, noise, a main cause for concern is the privacy of the residents living opposite this field and will be very intrusive. This will cause a substantial built up area when already over populated in a small village and not a town. When the most recent homes which have been already built apon on school road by Bloor Homes and Cavanna Homes the description given is affordable housing for local people, yet the price bracket is between £200,000.00 - £400,000.00. Which in my opinion is not affordable whereas the population are second property home owners and not first time buyers by local residents, there is already plans for a second building plot opposite the local primary school already therefor this field should be declined, the criteria given for the rental accommodation is for local residents only and whom already have a local connection to the village itself again unable to fill them with residents of this criteria. The other main cause for concern is the area of green natural beauty of the village. There is already allocated areas for over 55 years in several places in Stoke Fleming so the need for these houses should be eliminated.
