At Renfroe Middle School, the students have the opportunity to go to the student center for a quiet space.This space has services that help kids with anxiety and stress, and gives kids the opportunity to meet with licensed professionals.

The main problem is the physical space. There is no space in the center for the therapists to meet with kids in the center and that only leaves spaces like the library which leaves no privacy. Additionally, Ms. Shield who runs this center has no area where she can make private phone calls to parents when it's needed. Most importantly, there isn't much space for the kids to have privacy when they need to talk to Ms. Shields about issues like mental health.

This petition serves to show Mr. Wiseman that this space is not only needed, but supported by the community. It would also show that the community wants a better space for Ms. Shields so she can continue to help these kids the best way she can.
