Petition against A2014/70964
Please add your support and object to Planning Application A2014/70964 - a devious attempt to reduce the number of parking places in Worcester Park's central car park, by falsely claiming to increase them!
The Worcester Park community has been subjected to a succession of planning applications, aimed at reducing the availability of places in our central (Waitrose) car park. For much of the day (including Sundays), this car park is full to capacity - it is essential to the survival of our high street traders, upon which many of us depend.
Lack of sufficient parking is a chief problem in Worcester Park - we need more, rather than less! So far, in working together, residents and traders have been successful in defending our existing parking places, but Planning Application A2014/70964 threatens to set a precedent and start the process of eroding car park facilities - this will be a disaster for us all.
You can see the planning application on the following web address - thank you for supporting our community: http://gis.sutton.gov.uk/FASTWEB/detail.asp?AltRef=A2014/70964&ApplicationNumber=A2014%2F70964&AddressPrefix=&submit1=Go
Please note: This petition is NOT affiliated to any political party and your details will not be provided to anyone other than Sutton Council, who will be presented with this petition on behalf of the Worcester Park community.

Mr. Tim Lipscomb
Dear Mr. Lipscomb, I was surprised to receive an email from Joanna Zurek, explaining this petition cannot be accepted, due the lack of a house number for each signature. I am quite sure that I input one when I added my name, so I am unsure why it is absent.
However, there is just 24 hours of the consultation left, so I have asked Change.org for urgent advice, given that it is unlikely that I will be able to contact 158 signatories and ask their house number.
In the meantime, I have prepared the way fir the petition to be submitted on-line, via Change.org. Kind regards, Richard Johnson.
