Make Mumbai Railways safe

Newspapers are riddled with reports of commuters in Mumbai dying due to railway accidents- accidents while crossing the tracks, falling from overcrowded trains, falling in between gaps in the platform; you name it. The stampede of 29th September is a chilling reminder that the lifeline of Mumbai- the suburban railway network- is a killing field.
We don't want bullet trains. We don't want World class facilities. All we need right now is a safe means of transport for the common man to commute in daily. This is an appeal to the Central Government of India to take the necessary measures to improve our primitive railway system.
