The students of Ukiah High School are told to have integrity, compassion, productivity, and creativity. Although we are told we must use these morals, we do not believe the higher ups at Ukiah High school are using some of them. The reason we say this, is because many teachers here at Ukiah High School have been pink slipped which is similar to being fired. Although some of these teachers have not done very good things, others for example Mrs. Stahl and Mrs. Jajjo, are being pink slipped for unaccommodating reasons. Some of these teachers have been here for years and others have been here for only a semester. This is not healthy for the students as they have created bonds with the teachers and have gotten used to their way of educating. These teachers have helped students through very hard times, leading students to have motivation in school. As students here at Ukiah High School we believe that these teachers should receive more consideration and realization of their true value. There are teachers that have made students uncomfortable but they haven’t been told anything and the teachers who have done nothing are the ones getting fired. Many of the concerned students here at Ukiah High School disagree with the actions that are resulting between the higher ups and the teachers.
