LEE FRANKLIN started this petition to Annastacia Palaszczuk (Queensland Premier) and

Our state government deems that as citizens of this great country and great state that we should not be permitted to enjoy our cultural and traditional pastime of hunting, something that helped to make Queensland what it is.

It is an outrage that law abiding citizens should be barred from pursuing an age old tradition and lifestyle in countryside that belongs to them, the citizens (not the government).

I know that it is my duty to keep you informed of my will of anything that I wish to be brought forward before Parliament.

It is my will that you take immediate action to re-introduce unsupervised licensed hunting on all public lands.

On another point in the matter of hunting in our National Parks & State Forests, the Greens and various associations such as the NPA, continually reiterate the notion of safety as being the primary reason that hunting should not be allowed in our National Parks & State Forests. I wonder if this overrated safety concern and ask if the same risk management requirements have been applied to other activities that are at present permitted.

Is it fair to assume by all this that unfair standards are being applied to the hunters of QLD in comparison to other National Park & State Forest users and their safety obligations and their obvious risk strategy?

It seems that the rules are being applied completely differently isn’t that something called discrimination!
