Please allow GM crops in your country. It's cheap, viable, efficient, and filled with all the nutrients needed. It can tolerate floods, resist winds, etc. GM crops saves alot of money and it is designed for the people.

I support the continuing need for crop GM to provide higher yield and nutriently improved crops. Scientific testing continues and developed countries are often ignorant of the myriad needs for this technology.

GM crops have the potential to feed India's population with greater productivity, improved drought resistance, decreased pesticide usage and superior nutritional content. The decision not to proceed with GM crops is driven by ignorant, uninformed, scientifically illiterate activists in the west who have never gone hungry.

Every conventional crop in the world, even those labelled as "organic", have undergone intense genetic manipulation from their original, wild ancestors with tremendous genome rearrangements, resulting in crops that are unrecognisable as "natural" species. In contrast, GM foods are altered in small, highly targeted ways to improve their traits. These activists are not anti-GM when it comes to selective breeding which can take decades, but anti-GM when it comes to targeted approach that can improve human health and the environment now.

Intense research in the field has shown GM foods to be completely safe to humans.

Please don't let the fanatical obsessions of ignorant, superstitious activists in the west prevent India from feeding its poor.

Yours,
