Lyn Neville started this petition to Mr Matthew Hancock - Health Secretary

The NHS has gained the support of the entire Nation during these incredibly difficult days of Covid-19.  The Government and the Health Secretary have continually told us how important NHS Nurses are, calling them Hero's and Lifesavers. The Prime Minister himself was cared for in his hour of need.

Many pay rises have been sorted out but still the Nurses wait to be recognised.  You cannot be held up as Angels, Lifesavers, Hero's etc and then be forgotten. For many years Nurses pay has been an issue and its value has fallen with many Nurses leaving the profession.

Let's not forget what has been done for the public by our wonderful NHS Nurses. The Government wanted us to Protect the NHS and now we want them to Pay the NHS Nurses. Mr Hancock (Health Secretary) and your Colleagues, please give the Nurses a meaningful Pay Rise to reflect the Amazing Role they play as Critical Workers and Protectors of the Public. Stop talking the Nurses up, it is now time to Pay Up!!
